Yorkdale Mall Shopping Spree

Shopping is my biggest weakness. I need to go shopping every chance I get or I will lose it. My mind I mean. Last week I went to Yorkdale Mall and went a tad bit crazy with my wallet. I went to the mall with little knowledge of what I was going to buy, needless to say I love everything I bought.

The first thing I did was bought these beautiful earrings by Kate Spade. They are exquisite and sophisticated. They sparkle charmingly in the light, and make me feel expensive. While I was at the counter paying for my purchase, I laid my eyes on this cute bright pink coin purse, which I absolutely had to have.

I then strutted off to Juicy Couture where I bought a charm bracelet and a 2013 graduation charm. For two years I had debated on whether I should buy this bracelet but I told myself it was about time to get. The bracelet is sitting perfectly on my wrist while I type this.

This next purchase is my biggest one of the day; my very first Burberry purchase. I was really excited to go into Burberry, I felt like a little girl in a candy shop. My purchase was this classic wool silk scarf. Aah my very first high end scarf.  Oh the bliss. I feel powerful when wearing the scarf, like I own the world.

Feeling powerful I charged off to Holt Renfrew where I got this comfy Wildfox jumper in pink and Jo Malone vanilla anise perfume and orange blossom candle. I haven’t used my perfume and candle as of yet because I still have my J’adore by Dior perfume left to finish.

Bobbette & Belle Adventure

Playing tourist in your own city is a lot of fun. You get to explore new places you never knew existed. Today I went on a little adventure to eslieville, to try some infamous macaron and cupcakes from Bobbette and Belle.  It is a small shop in a quiet neighbourhood near Pape Station. From outside the wedding cake  shop looks like a Parisian café, with cute black chairs and tables  sitting outside waiting  for customers to people watch whilst munching on a cupcake and sipping coffee. The inside of the bakery is adorable, it looks like a living room decorated by a professional. The seating is arranged in a way for customers to ooh and aah at the beautifully decorated wedding cakes.

The macaron and cupcakes were delicious. It made me want to eat more, but I don’t think my scale would appreciate it. I am so glad I took the time to go to a place that was out of my way. I explored an old neighbourhood and got to eat some delicious treats.

Macarons Wonderland & Paris Dreams

This afternoon I had the most wonderful dessert, and I felt as if I was at a bakery in Paris. It was French Macarons from Bobbette and Belles. The colorful Macarons were scrumptious. C'est Magnifique. The outer shell was light and crispy and the buttercream was smooth and decadent. With a cup of coffee the Macarons were to die for. I felt like a Parisian girl off on her bike to buy baguette, cheese and vegetables at the market for dinner.

Paris has always inspired me, although I’ve never been there; the lifestyle and the idea of standing under the Eiffel tower, eating Macarons from Ladue, walking in the parks with your love, shopping in expensive boutiques and cruising along the Seine has always intrigued me. I want to sit outside a little café in Paris, eating Macarons, drinking sweet French coffee and breathing in the air while local Parisians walk by with their daily lives. My goal in Paris is to kiss my husband (haven’t found him yet, just looking around) under the Eiffel Tower in the night time. Ooh La La. The Eiffel Tower looks magnificent in the night; it is lit up from top to bottom. It looks so romantic. I want to immerse myself in a tiny bookstore; smell the old book and read until my hearts content. I want to buy expensive perfume and clothes from Chanel, Valentino, Prada, etc. so that when my friends ask where I got a certain item from I can say “from Paris of course”.  I especially want a snow globe of the Eiffel Tower that can remind me of my time there. I hope that one day I can actually go to Paris and live up to my dream. A magical month in Paris!!!

Sophisticated Nails

Simple Classic nail polish on nails always look the best (well, in my opinion they do) rather than the flashy, artsy, really long, scary looking ones. I like simple nails like french tips, they are classic and look good every time. Here are three of my go to nail polishes that I can wear every day.

My Everyday Makeup Routine

This is my everyday makeup routine. I wear this during the day when I’m out and about. I love watching tutorials and reading blogs on everyday makeup routines because I can get an idea on what new foundations I can try, or see something new that I can try, and simply because I’m nosey. Before I begin I want to start off by saying that I wear a very light coverage foundation during the day because I don’t want to look cakey and I want my face to feel light and airy. I want to look as if I have no foundation on my face; I want it to look as if it is my second skin. I have been wearing the fairly new Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation. This foundation is not for those who want full coverage; this foundation is very light and evens out my skin tone. Most people don’t realize I’m even wearing foundation when I have it on. It gives my skin this radiant glow making my skin look fresh and healthy. I love it.

On with the Makeup routine….

I start off with putting on my Le Blanc Whitening Concentrate Continuous Action serum. I know im supposed to use a moisturizer instead of a serum. But this baby is a diamond in a bottle. I don’t need a moisturizer.

Next I put on my Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in the colour 30 Beige. I use my finger instead of brush because it is easier to apply that way. I don’t use a concealer after this because I feel that I don’t need it.

I then use my Chanel Matte Lumiere powder to lightly dust my nose and my eyelids because they are the oiliest part of my face and I don’t want to shine like a disco ball.

I then put on my eyeliner using the Sephora liquid liner. I love that liner because it is easy to apply and the brush is thin so I can get a sleek thin line. The black does not streak and I can apply it quickly without having to go over it a bunch of times and it stays on all day.

The last thing I put on my face is my Baby Lips Lip Balm in the colour Cherry Me. It gives my lips the moisture it needs with a bit of a red tint.

This Makeup routine gives my face the natural look I want. It also takes the foundation police off my case. My friends always asked me what foundation I use and it gets so embarrassing especially the fact that people know that I’m wearing it. With the Chanel Vitalumiere aqua, it doesn’t even look like I’m wearing foundation. My friends compliment me on my skin rather than my foundation. This is the best deceiver.

Afternoon Tea Inspirations!

As you all know from my previous post that I want to go to the Windsor Arms Hotel in Toronto for some afternoon tea. These are some outfits that I have drawn from various websites to help me and you (of course) to decide on what to wear. These outfits might be too much for some people, but I like to play the part of an English lady out for afternoon tea. Most people would opt to wear jeans and a dress shirt but I’d like to go all out by wearing the perfect pastel dress with a 1960’s hairdo, some diamond earrings and a pearl necklace.
These dresses below are all from Shabby Apple, a website that is dedicated to retro and chic dresses. They are perfect for modern day wear.

Jewelry: Simple and Classic

This hairstyle is retro, yet modern.

Shoes! Elegant and Classy.
